I have to say, the caption that went through my mind right away was, “Am I Pregnant?”.
Haha

Love your illustrations Sam! And I can totally relate. I told a mom from my daughter’s preschool that I was an illustrator last week and she replied “What is that?” Not. Even. Kidding.
Like your story, I think we all need to find ‘our people’. I’ve noticed that I go through phases in my life where I have a lot of ‘my people’ around me and then other times that feel pretty lonely. Part of the ebb and flow of life I guess.
Keep up all of the great work on your blog! I really enjoy it.

Thanks for sharing Julia! I have that same ebb and flow as well, but it’s always like a feeling of home to know that I’m not the “only one.”
Cheers! Sam

sam, so what does the semi-colon mean? i think i get all the others and like the way you paired punctuation with people and how they find purpose in life…and that you find belonging with the question marks

i was thinking of the semi-colon as a literary buff/editor/english prof type person… a bibliophile!
