The poet Jean-Marc
has a favorite park,
and a favorite bench
on which to sit
and read his works
to any poor git
who happens to pass that way
and if you’d ask
to be excused
from the impromptu
reading of his work
Jean-Marc would smirk
and think you
an uneducated and uncultured fool.
(but he’d probably be wrong about that.)
