The Tangle.

Margaret has long hair.
If you have long hair, you’ll understand that sometimes you suffer from tangles (see image above).
Yesterday Margaret had a tangle so magnificent, it deserved its own name (Walter) and possibly its own zip code (The post office hasn’t gotten back to her yet).
How, you ask, does one proceed?
Her choices were threefold:
Comb
Scissors
Ten-gallon hat
Margaret is the patient, diligent type of gal, so she bade Walter farewell with a fine-tooth comb…. one vicious tug at a time.

Lately, I’m trying to sort out my own tangles.
Mainly it’s family stuff for me. Sometimes I can’t make heads or tails of any of it and I can’t figure out how to think/feel/act. I am vaguely aware that I sound like a teenager.
I feel like my emotional responses are all jumbled and firing from the wrong inputs.
I want to forgive, but I am still angry.
Even now, as I write I feel like I am forcing the words out… forcing the comb through the matted bits.
This one might take a while…
Love,
Sam

Hello!
I must admit that I am a new follower of your blog. I had long hair as a kid and I remember when I had a mass tangle so big, that I put my hair in a pony tail for a week so my mom would not find it and yank it out. Finally that mass tangle took a life of its own and my mom saw the big blog coming out of my head and it was put to a painful death. OW! I am still remembering. ; )
I really like your perspective on things and look forward to your entries. Keep on keeping on!
Cheers, Anita

Hi Anita! Welcome!
I remember doing the exact same thing… I also remember hiding it when I got gum in my hair, except we had to actually cut that out with scissors!
Ah the toils of having long hair, but it is so pretty
