daily drawing.
i always had a bear with me as a child… his name was “snuffy” and he was a chocolate colored gund bear. i remember leaving him in a store once while my mom was shopping and his absence dawning on me about 3 blocks from our house. the store was closed. i howled all night and refused the comfort of a myriad other stuffies, allowing only the care bears into my bed with me. in the morning, we met the store manager there first thing and i got my bear back.
i still have him, although he doesn’t sleep in the bed with me anymore. (phew). but i couldn’t part with him. russ can tell you all a story about how i almost threw him away, but i won’t deny him the pleasure of telling it by typing it here.
here’s to hoping you all had a childhood toy you bonded with!
