panna cotta di casa = amazing!

tonight we made a charity gourmet dinner for about 20 people. my friend bryan (thanks bry!) did most of the cooking and i did dessert. i had found a recipe for this yummy looking panna cotta in the most recent better homes & garden and was intrigued since it required no baking and seemed fairly easy. the blueberry sauce that went on top looked simple enough to prepare, but with unique ingredients like marsala, rosemary, peppercorn, balsamic vinegar and lemon juice.

anyhow, the recipe is here. although i think you might have to make a free account to access it. seriously though, it was AMAZING and everyone should try it once in life. i broke my lenten fast to eat some... it was that good.

wee wonderful bunny!

on sunday, kath and i made bunnies while watching pride and prejudice and then walk the line. i got the pattern from hillary lang over at wee wonderfuls. her stuff is SO amazing. you can see the pattern here. you can see my bunny here.

i think hillary is such an amazing crafty lady! just wanted to pass that along... and to say that everyone still has plenty of time before easter to make bunnies. :)

kolo albums are the very best

i made a baby album for some friends today and have decided that kolo albums are the very best. they are expandable (you can add pages), well constructed and have a modern, clean feel. i love the colors they come in and the sizes. this is the one i got. i think the color i got is the oceana, but it looks really bright on the screen. it's actually a pretty muted aqua color. it was beautiful.

anyhow, i know it was random, but if your going to make an album, go KOLO.
also, i used those old-school black photo corners to mount the pictures = so classy.

men at work on 3D castle

this weekend we got to visit our good friends in dallas. russ went crazy and built a 3D castle. he parties hard.

anyhow, it was so refreshing and fun!

resolutions

1. i resolve to make more time for art.
2. i resolve to not get stressed out about things and to take it easy.
3. i resolve to get my sewing machine fixed. soon.
