new dishrack

so, our old dishrack finally crapped out on us this weekend and with no viable option for drying dishes, we set out to find something that would really work for us. this is what we ended up with. it does work really well and although the price tag was a bit of a pain (49.99), nothing else was big enough and sturdy enough to tempt us.

plus, this one actually has a drain plate that goes right into the sink, so we don't have a nasty dish towel under the rack anymore. muuuuuuch better.

in other news, we've been welcoming the slightly cooler temps lately and i've been updating my list of things i need/want from texas. russ has been up to his eyeballs in homework and projects and papers and i've been painting things green (christmas preparation) for weeks.

i've been feeling a little better about the friend thing, and i'm really feeling like there is a reason we are in this city, even for the short span of 2 years. we've already been challenged so much and i know we're going to grow a lot through this experience.

anyhow, that's pretty much it. i wanted to update, but i'm feeling a bit sleepy after eating lunch, so this was the short version.
